Prince William
Prince William was born William Arthur Philip Louis in London to parents King Charles III, then the Prince of Wales, and the late Princess Diana. He is first in the line to succeed the British throne.
As a teenager, William attended Eton College, and he enrolled at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland upon graduation. During his freshman year, he met his now-wife, Princess Kate, in an art history class. He graduated with a degree in geography in 2005.
In 2006, William joined the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. Three years later, William was awarded the rank of flight Lieutenant in the Royal Air Force.
In November 2010, William proposed to Kate while on vacation in Kenya. The couple tied the knot on April 29, 2011, at Westminster Abbey in London, officially earning the titles of Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
Their first baby, a son named George Alexander Louis, was born on July 22, 2013. Daughter Charlotte Elizabeth Diana followed on May 2, 2015, and son Louis Arthur Charles arrived on April 23, 2018.
William moved up in the line of succession after his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II’s death in 2022. When his father became king, William and Kate inherited new titles, including the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall. They also became the Prince and Princess of Wales, a title reserved for the first in line to the throne.
