Prince Harry
Prince Harry was born Henry Charlie Albert David in London to parents King Charles III, then the Prince of Wales, and the late Princess Diana. He is fifth in line to succeed the British throne.
Like his older brother, Prince William, Harry studied at Eton College. After graduation, Harry spent a gap year traveling. He primarily lived in Australia and also traveled to Lesotho, where he volunteered with orphaned children.
In 2005, Harry enrolled at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst before joining the British military. In 2007, he served in Afghanistan on the front line. Upon his return home, he became a trained military helicopter pilot.
Harry often made headlines for his “wild child” behavior, including being caught smoking marijuana in 2002. He settled down, however, when he started dating Meghan Markle in 2016.
The pair tied the knot in May 2018 and welcomed a son named Archie on May 6, 2019. They announced their plans to step down from their senior royal duties in January 2020, two months before their final official engagements as royals. After relocating to California, they welcomed daughter Lilibet, whom they named after Queen Elizabeth II and Diana, in June 2021.
Harry’s first book, a memoir titled Spare, was published in January 2023.
